About Chad Wilson

Chad Wilson is an Atlanta-based traditional visual artist who has been drawing for most of his life. Largely self-taught, he took every available art-related class during his school years and later earned a degree in Graphic Design. For decades, he worked in unrelated fields and created print media and websites, but his mind was never far from painting.

A most inconvenient pandemic became the catalyst for a personal renaissance, reigniting his focus on traditional art. Favoring portraiture, Chad draws inspiration from the masters, incorporating modern themes into classical techniques. He primarily works in acrylic, gouache, and watercolor on paper, canvas, and board.

Chad has painted live before audiences, and his work has been exhibited extensively. His art has won awards and is held in private collections across Georgia, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and the United Kingdom.
